How It Works:
ONBOARD® utilizes a two-stage system where first, a particle filter with a glass element removes particulates as small as 3 microns, and then the fluid filter employs its patented ECVD (Evaporation Convection Vacuum Dehydration) process that evaporates, burns and/or expels unspent fuel and water vapor, essentially using the engine to refine dirty engine oil. The fact is, oil never wears out or loses its lubricity (its ability to lubricate engine parts). It just gets contaminated with particulates and fluids that damage the engine.
ONBOARD® solves that problem, all while reducing waste oil and exhaust vapors — a very environmentally friendly benefit, too. The only periodic maintenance that’s needed is changing the oil filter (about as hard as changing a light bulb) and occasionally topping off engine oil.

What Does The DPF Show?
The Diesel Particulate filter is scheduled to be serviced on this particular truck at 250,000 miles. ONBOARD® has been installed on the truck for 60,000 miles of the 250,000 miles and as the technician mentioned, this particular filter looked as if it had been serviced before.
